Congratulations to the winners and everyone who participated in this weekend’s Big Apps 3.0 Hackathon at Pivotal Labs!
The 1st prize winner was “Don’t Park Here!” designed by Eric Rafaloff, which tells users if its legal to park in a space in real-time.

Looks like some cool apps that came out of this hackathon. It is great to see NYC doing more to foster open data and its use in advancing technology innovation. I firmly believe that with open data we ensure an open government.
As an aside, that parking app seems like an awesome idea, can’t wait to try it out.
