Who I Follow

A lot of people in our industry haven’t had very diverse experiences. So they don’t have enough dots to connect, and they end up with very linear solutions without a broad perspective on the problem. The broader one’s understanding of the human experience, the better design we will have.

One of my favorite quotes by Jobs and calls to mind many of the startups that pass my way. I have met plenty of founders that have passion and energy and technical chops, but little experience. While this may have suited consumer web and mobile apps, entrepreneurs that are building for enterprise and B2B customers will have a harder time creating truly revolutionary and well-designed solutions. Experience matters.
